Playing with us
For experienced ice hockey players, and honest words for beginners.
I am a beginner and want to learn ice hockey. Are you the right club for me?
We have to be honest here: we are not the right club to learn ice hockey from scratch.
All of our teams are recreational teams whose players already master skating and the basics of ice hockey. We simply lack the coaching capacity to teach ice hockey from the ground up, and since it is a team sport, a certain basic level is required so that training and games work for everyone.
The level in our teams is too high for complete beginners. We recommend contacting a club with a suitable programme for beginners.
I already play ice hockey. Can I join a trial training session?
Absolutely. Just send us an email at info@ehcregensburg.de, and we will see together what is possible.
What we no longer offer
To save you research and enquiries.
Do you have a women’s ice hockey team?
No. Until the 2025/2026 season we had a women’s ice hockey team, which we unfortunately had to dissolve. We currently no longer have a women’s ice hockey team of our own.
Can I play in the veterans team?
Our veterans team is currently not accepting new players .
Do you have a youth or junior team?
No. EHC Regensburg does not run any youth or junior programme.
